Sounds amazing.Snug, but fit.I ordered these budget headers for a 1973 Ford F100 390 with Auto Transmission. The coating was already chipped upon unboxing. After install was complete, the header collector touches the Transmission Shifter linkage. I had to convexly form the drivers side collector to accomodate the shifter linkage. I would recommend spending a little more and getting a better quality product. Also, do not rely on the 'This Product Fits Your Vehicle' and check mark icon. They bolt to your engine but will hit the starter ans Auto trans linkage and I don't care what the say you can not make them work. I threw them away and bought another brand and they fit and work great! These headers look nice but the fit is very tight. They are to close to starter you can make/ force the original starter to work but you will probably have more luck replacing with aftermarket smaller low gear starter. If you choose to use original starter put it on the vehicle first, then loosely put header around it and then tighten starter wire then put the header in place and tighten down. You will also have fit problems at cross member near trans. And if you use a c6 trans you will have to bend the shifter linkage to get the exhaust hooked up. Also something I didn't read till to late run original manifolds or junk set of headers first to break in engine and then install your good ones or you may loose warranty on them.
